The Z4's wiring harness connectors are simplified and made more durable, with mechanical interlocking pieces. The Z4's speakers use a modern plastic and rubber cone design, that is not likely to rot.
Jan 11, 2009 路 I won't get into the argument over good/bad teen drivers as it doesn't really apply here. I have four kids, ages 16 to 22, and all drive e30-e36 series BMW's. We have an e30 325e, e36 318is, e36 325is, and a 1.9l Z3. That said, two of these cars have m42/44 style 4 cylinder engines and have proven to be BMW reliable and get great gas mileage.
The BMW Z3 is such a great car. The roadster is perfect for driving on highways and locally as well. It is a fun car with the added ability to drive using a 3 speed or manual drive with the change of a button. This one has heated seats which come in handy on those cold days. The detail of the shape of the car is what first attracted me.
